Update on Kevin Keith—You Made a Difference!

Man in Cell   Last week, the ACLU of Ohio asked you to contact Governor Strickland and urge him to grant clemency to Kevin Keith, a possibly innocent man scheduled to be executed on September 15, 2010.

The response was overwhelming, as civil libertarians around the state took action, and our leaders took notice.

On Thursday, September 2, 2010, Governor Strickland announced that he commuted Mr. Keith’s sentence to life in prison without the possibility of parole, saving Ohio from executing a potentially innocent person.

Call Governor Ted Strickland and say, “Thank you for commuting Kevin Keith’s sentence and sparing him from execution.”
