Tell the governor "No more Executions!"

02.26.07 The ACLU of Ohio, together with Ohioans to Stop Executions and other local anti-death penalty groups, is launching a postcard campaign to urge Governor Strickland to stop executions.

Here's how:

  • You can pick up postcards at the ACLU’s Cleveland office, 4506 Chester Avenue, from 8am until 6pm, Monday through Friday. Please call (216-472-2220) or e-mail (contact@acluohio.org) to let us know you’ll be stopping by and how many postcards you need.
  • If you order a stack of 50 postcards, we’ll ship them to you for free! Please call (216-472-2220) or e-mail (contact@acluohio.org) your request.
  • Or you can download and print your own.

Please mail all postcards by Monday, March 12, 2007. The last day to pick up or request postcards is Friday, March 9.

You can also download sample talking points to personalize your postcards.

Last week, the Associated Press reported that “letters to Gov. Ted Strickland are running almost 5 to 1 in favor of ending capital punishment or temporarily stopping it to study the system.”

Help us keep that momentum going!

With your help, we can rid Ohio of executions!
