For nearly 100 years, the American Civil Liberties Union has been at the forefront of every major battle for civil liberties and social justice in this country. As leaders of the resistance, the ACLU brings together activists from all walks of life in the advancement of equality, fairness, and freedom, especially for the most vulnerable in our society.
The ACLU of Ohio seeks an Advocacy Strategist to develop and implement integrated strategies to steward relationships, manage coalition work, and provide policy expertise to advance ACLU of Ohio advocacy plans and priority issue campaigns. This is an exciting opportunity to effect systemic change with a dynamic nonprofit organization.
Ideal candidates will have a demonstrated ability to research, write, and develop strategies to change policy and law, and the ability to distill complicated information into digestible material. They will have experience working in coalition, including developing shared plans, coordinating communications, and managing dynamics among partner groups, along with a demonstrated commitment to social justice and civil liberties.
Salary and compensation
Salary based on skills and experience. Benefits package includes health, life, disability insurance, retirement, and paid time off.
