Campaigns Manager — Southwest Ohio
For nearly 100 years, the American Civil Liberties Union has been at the forefront of every major battle for civil liberties and social justice in this country. As leaders of the resistance, the ACLU brings together activists from all walks of life in the advancement of equality, fairness, and freedom, especially for the most vulnerable in our society.
The ACLU of Ohio seeks a Campaigns Manager to be based in southwest Ohio. This is a new position geared towards identifying, recruiting, training, and managing leaders in the bail and criminal justice reform movement in the Cincinnati area to effect policy change.
The Campaigns Manager will provide on-the-ground organizing and advocacy support for local bail reform efforts; build relationships with community partners to connect local justice allies with the ACLU’s state and national resources; and increase awareness of the ACLU and its criminal justice reform efforts in southwest Ohio.
Ideal candidates will have 2 years of experience in political or community organizing or in criminal justice reform, with a demonstrated commitment to advancing the ACLU’s values, mission and goals. Demonstrated communication skills, including writing and public speaking, are important.
Salary and compensation
