Development Director

Position Available in Columbus Office

November 2017

For nearly 100 years, the American Civil Liberties Union has been at the forefront of every major battle for civil liberties and social justice in this country. Principled and nonpartisan, the ACLU brings together activists from all walks of life in the advancement of equality, fairness, and freedom, especially for the most vulnerable in our society.

The ACLU of Ohio seeks a dynamic fundraising leader to support us in this mission. Our development program places great emphasis on building personal, long-term relationships with our supporters.

Ideal candidates for the position will have considerable experience in nonprofit fundraising, solid leadership skills, an unwavering commitment to civil liberties and social justice, and superior interpersonal, writing, and public speaking skills.

Over the years staff members have found the ACLU to be an accommodating, inspiring and fun place to work. Although the environment is informal—staff members wear jeans to work a good deal of the time—we are an activist, hard-working team involved in the life of the community. ACLU of Ohio staff are committed to equality, respectful of diversity, and are willing to go above and beyond to get the job done.

To apply, please email a resume and cover letter to [email protected]. In your cover letter, please indicate how you heard about the position.

Applications will be accepted until position is filled.
