Transgender Day of Visibility

March 31 is the Transgender Day of Visibility – a day to honor yourself and your transgender and gender non-conforming loved ones. It is a time to celebrate the achievements of transgender and gender non-conforming people while also calling attention to the work still needed on the road to full legal equality for transgender Ohioans.

On March 29, 2018, the ACLU of Ohio, the ACLU, and Lambda Legal filed a lawsuit challenging Ohio’s refusal to correct the gender marker on birth certificates for transgender individuals.

We’d like to thank all of the organizations who helped pave the way for us to take this issue to the courtroom.
