Bio
Pat Gleydura serves as Policy Strategist for the ACLU of Ohio. They work with folks from grass-root to grass-top levels to support the mission of the ACLU, marrying their policy interests and social work training to ensure just treatment for all Ohioans. Pat serves as the in-house strategist for Youth Justice issues and initiatives, coordinating and collaborating with stakeholders, lawmakers, community leaders, valued partners, and youth. They also provide support to the ACLU’s work on democracy, freedom of education, LGBTQ+ rights, and work at the federal level.
Pat is a proud alum of The Ohio State University, earning their Bachelor of Science in Social Work in 2020 and Master of Social Work in 2021. While at Ohio State, Pat was a university Morrill Scholar dedicating their time to building a more inclusive campus community. Pat joined the ACLU as a social work field placement intern in 2020-21, and after time spent organizing and advocating in the education and reproductive rights spaces, they returned to the ACLU in their current role in 2024.
A Clevelander through and through Pat is a lifelong West sider who can point you in the direction of some great coffee shops. They enjoy reading comic books, playing board games, and generally being a nerd.
