Bio
Pierre Alsheikh is the Finance and Compliance Coordinator at the ACLU of Ohio, where he manages financial operations, compliance systems, and organizational processes that strengthen the ACLU’s mission. His professional path reflects a deep commitment to human rights, accountability, and building nonprofit programs that serve vulnerable communities.
Before joining the ACLU, Pierre worked with several nonprofit organizations to protect and assist underserved populations. His experience includes leading housing initiatives for people experiencing homelessness, supporting survivors of human trafficking and runaway youth, managing programs for unaccompanied minors, and advocating for individuals impacted by gender-based violence and seeking legal protection. He has also worked closely with refugee communities to support their resettlement and access to justice.
Pierre is in the final stage of completing his Ph.D., with research centered on the intersection of national and international law and issues of compliance. He also holds advanced degrees in diplomacy and international relations, as well as the Leadership Institute for Nonprofit Executives (LINE) Certificate from Rice University, which emphasizes nonprofit leadership, organizational effectiveness, and strategic decision-making.
