COLUMBUS - Today the campaign Ohioans for Secure and Fair Elections refiled paperwork with the Attorney General’s Office to initiate the process of modernizing Ohio’s elections. The campaign will have a public launch in the coming weeks and is continuing to build a broad coalition.

The following statement is attributed to J. Bennett Guess, Executive Director at the ACLU of Ohio:

“Today, we refiled our petition to ensure all eligible Ohioans can cast their ballot without unnecessary barriers. Per the Attorney General’s request, we updated the summary that we will use when circulating for signatures. We’re continuing to expand our coalition, with the Ohio Conference of NAACP, Ohio’s A. Philip Randolph Institute, and Ohio Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism on board, and we look forward to working with voters and organizations across the state to ensure Ohio’s elections are both secure and fair.”
