Our Take on This Bill
HB 298 and its companion bill SB 201 reprioritize funding for family planning centers in Ohio to make funding for nonpublic entities that specialize in family planning services the last priority. With public hospitals and clinics already being prohibited from performing most abortions, this bill could dramatically limit reproductive choice across the state by removing a major financial resource from many organizations that offer abortion among their health services.
