ACLU of Ohio and OJPC Sue Ohio Parole Board for Allowing Victim-Related Statements to be Submitted in Secret When Determining an Individual’s Eligibility for Parole
The ACLU of Ohio and the OJPC filed a lawsuit challenging the Ohio Parole Board and the ODRC policy of allowing victims' representatives and supporters to submit confidential statements to the Parole Board.

ACLU of Ohio and City of Columbus Settle Police Excessive Force Case from 2017
COLUMBUS – As a result of litigation brought by the ACLU of Ohio, the City of Columbus agreed to pay a settlement amount of $10,000 to Ellen Abdur-Rahim, a peaceful protester who was pepper sprayed in the face at point blank range by a then-Columbus Police officer during a political demonstration.
