I’ve always been a storyteller. In fact, I knew at about six years old that I would one day be an author and illustrator.

Our First Amendment rights to read, learn, and discuss vital topics in schools are under attack.

It is apparent HB 441 is born out of frustration with what often seems to be any combination of arbitrary, unfair, and nonsensical removals of speech and user accounts from the largest social media platforms.

HB 327 makes illegal the State Board of Education, school districts, schools, staff, and teachers instructing students that such things as slavery in the United States, or the Jewish Holocaust.

In Ohio’s distant history, our laws prohibited Black people from voting. Or holding office. Or serving on juries. Or even testifying in court against white people.

Sub. SB 135 regards state institutions of higher education and free speech.

In 2021, it’s 1894 all over again.

HB 22 is a bill which criminalizes protest.
