Ending the School-To-Prison Pipeline: A Case Study of Cincinnati Public Schools

A successful plan to address racially disparate discipline in CPS must be multifaceted. CPS must (1) implement restorative justice practices for all staff, (2) terminate the Memorandum of Understanding with the CPD and remove SROs, and (3) undergo regular audits of discipline data.

A large network of organizations, released a statewide public opinion poll of voters’ views on criminal justice and the pretrial system, and the results show that a strong majority of Ohioans believe the current system is deeply flawed and are eager to support commonsense bail reform policies.
