Starting with a help desk position in 1997, Tom turned a dare from a friend to take an employment exam into a career helping others with technology. Tom worked for several small companies before joining Infitech in 2005. Through Infitech, now Prosource Technologies, Tom worked with small and medium-sized businesses through the Cincinnati area, initially doing break/fix work. When the company moved to a MSP model of business, Tom was one of the first technicians to move into a vCIO role. This allowed him to focus on future planning and technology roadmaps for a subset of customers. It was during this time that Tom discovered his passion for working with non-profit companies.

In 2019, Tom left Prosource Technologies to join the Cincinnati Ballet as their Director of Information Technology. Coming in just before the COVID-19 pandemic, Tom then had to help the organization transform from in-person instruction and studios full of people to work from home and Zoom classes. Cincinnati Ballet was one of the first ballet organizations to resume work with their dancers, largely over video from their living rooms, still creating art and inspiring others during the lockdown months. During all of this, Tom was designing the technology pieces for the Margaret and Michael Valentine Center for Dance, the new building that the Ballet had just broken ground for. All of the lessons learned during the pandemic went into the designs as well…the new building has 9 fully integrated video conference capable studios, allowing the Ballet to continue to work in new ways into the future.

The son of a police officer and a teacher, Tom is passionate about fairness and justice in all forms. When not at work, Tom is usually at Cincinnati Kung Fu, where he is a 4th degree black belt in Shaolin-Do Kung Fu, or playing disc golf at one of the many courses around Ohio.
