Failed Evidence: Why Law Enforcement Resists Science » Cleveland
Science has helped hundreds of wrongly convicted people walk out of prisons all around the country, with some narrowly escaping the death penalty. David Harris argues that, despite these advancements, law enforcement is slow to embrace the benefits of science, instead opting to hold on to longstanding police procedures like interrogations and finger print matching. This program examines the reasons law enforcement resists scientific change and provides suggestions for the future.
